The name g.o.d is an abbreviation for “groove over dose.” However, the group is comprised of consummate vocalists, making g.o.d some of the most well regarded balladeers in K-Pop.

 1. “To Mother” remains one of the popular K-Pop songs of all time.
One of their most well known songs is “To Mother” which receives widespread radio play and is often covered by other artists on Korean variety shows.

2. g.o.d's “Friday Night” is a certified party anthem.

3. “Observation” exemplifies first generation K-Pop beyond the catchy music video.

4. “Lies” withstands the test of time.
“Lies from the 2000 album “Chapter 3” holds up even after fourteen years. The song demonstrates the songwriting ability of JYP Entertainment's Park Jin Young, while incorporating the soulfully smooth vocals of g.o.d.

5. g.o.d proved they were still one of the most awesome groups in K-Pop with “Saturday Night.”
In July 2014, g.o.d released “Saturday Night” from their “Chapter 8” album. “Saturday Night” enabled the group to reach new audiences.
