Queen Elizabeth II Worried About Royal Staff’s Tinder And Grindr Use, Feels Matchmaking Apps May Put The Palace At Risk

Buckingham Palace may be on the verge of taking a stance against hooking up.

Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly "deeply concerned" about the palace staff's use of matchmaking apps Tinder and Grinder. It appears that the monarch feels a recent increase in overnight guests at the royal residence is threatening security.

"There are real and serious security concerns at Buckingham Palace about members of staff use of dating apps such as Tinder, which can be rather sleazy," a source told the Daily Mail. "The palace police are particularly unhappy about the number of guests of servants staying overnight, especially when they may have only just met on Tinder."

According to the publication, most of Queen Elizabeth's staff of 800, which includes butlers, maids, and kitchen employees, are not allowed to have overnight guests.

However, the staff members are permitted sign-in visitors at their living quarters at St. James's Palace and the Royal Mews.

It seems that several of these royal personnel are using Tinder and Grindr for off-duty rendezvous.

The former head of security, Chief Superintendent Dai Davies, told the Daily Mail, "Historically this has always been a problem, even when I was in charge way before the introduction of these so-called dating apps. If members of staff lived in certain quarters, such as the Royal Mews and Kensington Palace, which have both single sex and married quarters, they were, and I presume still are, permitted to bring back unvetted guests."

Davies, who was put in charge of royal protection in 1995 for the Queen and her family, added, "Often these guests were total strangers. It makes a complete mockery of the security structure, unfortunately."

An official spokesperson for Buckingham Palace refused to comment when asked about the matter.
