Lee Joon & Thunder Reportedly Not Likely To Re-Sign Contracts With J.Tune, In Talks To Leave MBLAQ In November

MBLAQ's Lee Joon and Thunder plan to leave the group following the idol group's upcoming November concert.

On October 13, Korean media released reports that Lee Joon will not be resigning his contract to stay with MBLAQ . Reports that followed revealed that fellow member Thunder (Cheondoong) is also unlikely to re-sign with the entertainment company, J .Tune Camp.

J. Tune Camp released a statement saying that they are looking into the situation and that nothing is finalized.

MBLAQ member G.O also took to Twitter in order to share his opinion.

Korea's Star News initially reported that Lee Joon will be leaving the group following "MBLAQ Curtain Call" concert at the end of November. The idol will focus on his acting career, and was recently announced to have a roll in MBC's upcoming drama, Mr. Baek.

Shortly after the news about Lee Joon, it was also reported that Thunder has no plans to re-sign with J. Tune Camp and MBLAQ.

MBLAQ's agency stated that, while Lee Joon's exclusive contract is set to expire, nothing is definite regarding Lee Joon's potential departure.

J. Tune Camp responded to the news articles, addressing Lee Joon's rumored departure. "Lee Joon will participate in the November concerts. We are taking into consideration the other members and agency's wishes and thoughts before coming to an official conclusion. The agency [J. Tune Camp] will work hard to make the best decision for MBLAQ."

There was no statement about Thunder's rumored departure.

The company also responded to member G.O's tweets. The idol first tweeted, "At the end, consideration is what lasts over the burden of selfishness." The second message was followed by, "The people who know, know everything. Trust in what you see right now, as time passes it will all be found out."

During a phone interview with Allkpop, J. Tune Camp responded about G.O's messages, saying that the tweets expressed G.O's frustration. The members are very close, like a family, and he feels disappointed. However, the company denied an internal dispute being the cause of Lee Joon and Thunder's decision not to resign. "If there truly was a dispute, as rumored, it would be hard for the members to go through November's concerts."

MBLAQ's Curtain Call concerts will be held on November 28 and 29 in Seoul.
