Being an idol and actress is not easy as SECRET's Sunhwa explained during a recent press conference for her drama 'Rosy Lovers.'

Sunhwa attended a press conference at MBC's Golden Mouth Hall for her new drama that kicked off its first episode on October 18th.

During the question and answer portion, she related herself to f(x)'s Krystal and Girls' Generation's Sooyoung as they are also female leads in new TV dramas.

'Rosy Lovers' is the first time Sunhwa has taken a lead role, an experience, she explained, leaves her with butterflies in her stomach.  

Sunhwa said at the press conference on October 13th, "It would be a lie to say I feel no burden whatsoever in relation to my first lead role."  

She also talked about her experience preparing for the huge undertaking. "There was a considerable amount of studying I had to do, maybe because when I first saw the script, the amount was definitely for the female lead."  

"In relation to those parts, I was very worried until I went into the drama. At the beginning, I couldn't get a sense of it, so there were more difficult parts. However, Jang Woo gave advice during filming, and I am gradually getting the feel."

Sunhwa further said, "Currently, Sooyoung and Krystal are in dramas and like myself, are active as idols who are the female leads in dramas; I really find this a relief."

"Other idols are working diligently, but I think I could show and appeal with my acting side through a charm that is more unique to me."

She continued, "I find it truly a relief that my first lead is a character who is similar to myself. If my first lead role were a handful character, it would have been even more painful and burdensome than it is now. Jang Mi in the drama is similar to me, and two to three years ago, I really shared a side with Jang Mi. That's why it's a bit easier for me to approach Jang Mi." 

The MBC drama 'Rosy Lovers' is going to have a total of fifty episodes. The drama will broadcast every Saturday and Sundays at 8:45 PM KST.
