Jessica Makes First Public Appearance Since Girls' Generation Departure At BLANC Event In Shanghai

Former Girls' Generation member Jessica shows no signs of slowing down as she continues to move forward with projects for her design company BLANC & ECLARE.

Spotted for the first time in public since her removal from Girls' Generation early last week, Jessica Jung appeared at an event in Shanghai.

On October 16, Jessica attended the Lane Crawford first anniversary event in Shanghai's Times Square as the head designer for her brand, a role that was announced a few days following news that she had left Girls' Generation.

Lane Crawford, a luxury goods retailer in China and Hong Kong, recently announced that they will be working with Jessica's company as a developement brand and will be selling an exclusive line of BLANC & ECLARE sunglasses in their stores.

Since her departure from Girls' Generation, it has been said that Jessica is focusing her attention on her design company with the help of her rumored boyfriend Tyler Kwon, an influential investment powerhouse. The two recently announced a charity collaboration with the Help for Children foundation calling on fans to deisgn a new pair of sunglasses that will be manufactured and sold with all proceeds going to benefit the foundation.

For Jessica, a longtime fashion enthusiast, the Lane Crawford event is her next step towards realizing her design dreams. "I’m going to be taking it step by step in the fashion industry," she said in her an interview at the Lane Crawford event, her first since last week's career change revelation. "I did not lose my passion for the entertainment industry, so for my fans, there are a lot of great things in the works.”
