CUBE Entertainment Issues Statement Regarding 4Minute Concert Accident That Took The Lives Of 16 Fans

Korean media outlet OSEN has released a statement from CUBE Entertainment regarding an incident at 4Minute's concert on October 17 that took the lives of 16 and has left 11 other injured.

"There is no way to measure the amount of grief in our hearts," the company said.  "The members and staff didn't know what had happened during their performance and only learned of the accident on their way back to Seoul. We hope no more people are hurt because of this incident."

According to reports, a ventilation window collapsed on site during a performance by K-Pop girl group 4Minute at the 1st Pangyo Techno Valley Festival in South Korea.

The reports reveal that on October 17 at approximately 5pm KST, more than 25 fans fell roughly three stories below ground to a parking structure when the vent collapsed.

Officials at the scene have suggested the incident may have been caused by the weight of the fans who had climbed on top of the structure to watch the performance.

KpopStarz also extends our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the victims and wish a speedy recovery for those injured.
