Krystal Of f(x) Reportedly Faints During SMTOWN Concert In Shanghai, Reignites Concerns About The Mistreatment Of SM Entertainment Artists

According to fan reports on Chinese social network Weibo, f(x) member Krystal fainted following the group's performance in Shanghai.

On Saturday, the South Korean girl group f(x) participated in an SMTOWN world tour concert in Shanghai where member Krystal Jung reportedly fainted while exiting the stage following the group's final song.

Chinese Weibo users in attendance at the concert posted reports and pictures of the singer being supported by her group mate Victoria as staff and security members rushed to her aid.

Audience members also stated that Krystal wore sunglasses during f(x)'s last song, "Red Light," and that immediately following the performance the stage lights dimmed and a group of people surrounded her.  She was then said to have been escorted to the group's fan for recovery.

Eyewitnesses also said that Krystal was not present for the concert finale.

This is not Krystal's first time fainting on stage.  In November 2010, during the Lotte Duty Free Shop Family Concert, the singer passed out during f(x)'s final performance.  She was then taken to the hospital for evaluation and her label, SM Entertainment, said there was nothing seriously wrong with her.  "She fainted because she was in a poor condition today," a rep for the company had told Star News at the time.

SM Entertainment has yet to release a statement regarding Krystal's most recent on-stage fainting episode, although the incident does fuel recent concerns about the company's mistreatment of its artists, particularly when health is concerned.

Recently EXO member Luhan filed a lawsuit against SM to terminate his contract citing health reasons and Krystal's sister Jessica was removed by the company from her group Girls' Generation.
