Sohee May Be Set For First K-Drama Role After Leaving JYP & Wonder Girls

On October 20, cable network tvN provided a statement to Korean news outlet Newsen to address casting news regarding former Wonder Girls member Sohee. The statement indicated that Sohee is in consideration for the upcoming K-Drama “Heart to Heart. In coverage from the English language outlet Enews, the tvN representative stated “It appears that Sohee will appear in “Heart to Heart.” We are discussing the final details right now.”

Sohee is in consideration for the role of Go Sae. “Heart To Heart” focuses on mental health issues with the characters interacting within a psychiatric facility. Go Sae is the sister to the lead female character in "Heart To Heart." 

"7th Level Civil Servant" star Choi Kang Hee was previously announced as an actress who was being considered for the female leading role in "Heart To Heart." "Heart To Heart" will be the first tvN drama for director Lee Yoon Jung. Lee Yoon Jung has received acclaim for her direction of the iconic K-Drama "Coffee Prince." 

Sohee debuted with JYP Entertainment’s Wonder Girls in 2007. She departed from Wonder Girls and JYP Entertainment, following the expiration of her contract in December 2013. Sohee signed with BH Entertainment in 2014, with the goal of pursuing career as an actress. Her prior acting credits include her role in the 2008 film “Hellcats” and the 2013 drama special “Happy! Rose Day.” 

While Sohee has continued with endorsement activities following her departure from Wonder Girls including her steamy ad campaign with Big Bang's T.O.P, a K-Drama role provide her with an official comeback. 

“Heart To Heart” will follow “Miseang,” which is currently airing on Fridays and Saturdays in the 8:10 KST time slot.
