Novak Djokovic Jelena Ristic Greets Baby Boy Into World! World Number 1 Wife Gave Birth After Wedding And US Open 2014, Will Roger Federer Say Congrats?

It’s a boy! And Novak Djokovic and Jelena Ristic cannot be happier. The wife of world number 1 tennis player has given birth to a baby boy three months after the wedding and just weeks after US Open 2014 wrapped up. Novak Djokovic hasn’t released the name of his baby boy yet, but that’s only a matter of time.

Novak Djokovic’s wife Jelena Ristic “has given birth to a baby boy, reports Serbian media,” according to Sports Illustrated. It indeed has been a long-time coming for the couple that has been together since high school!

The world number 1 has trusted his baby mama with lots of things even before she became pregnant in April. Jelena Ristic is currently the head of Novak Djokovic Foundation that invests primarily in pre-kindergarten education.

Jelena wasn’t present for the US Open 2014 due to her pregnancy, but she has always been that constant source of support for the world number 1.

The report says the Djokovic boy is healthy and Djokovic is "happy, proud and joyful."

Roger Federer, who has been gunning to regain world number 1 ranking with the absence of Rafael Nadal and the up-and-down performance of Novak Djokovic, will probably set aside his competitive streak and congratulate the couple on their new baby. Since Roger is a father (of two twins) himself, he most likely understands the feeling of being a new daddy.

According to Sports Illustrated, “in April, Djokovic announced that he and fiancée Jelena Ristić were expecting their first child. The couple got engaged in September 2013 and were wed on July 12 in Montenegro, after dating since 2005.”
