Block B Members Ask Fans To Stop 'Frightening' Actions Through A Series Of Twitter Updates

The Block B members have asked fans to stop invading their private lives, following vandalism at the K-Pop idol group's home.

Several members of the boy band recently Tweeted about the situation, asking fans to stop prying. The members expressed frustration and fear towards fans that have shown up at their music studios and their shared apartment.

Block B's leader Zico wrote several posts, starting on October 11, beginning by telling fans not to come to their studio.

"If we are restricted in the studio to live properly, then Block B's music will be affected. Coming to apologize for thoughtlessly visiting is something that I don't understand at all. Please keep your boundaries," read his first tweet on October 11.

On October 21, Zico once again tweeted about fans invading Block B's personal lives. "Coming to the dorm. It gives me chills. Stop immediately," read one Tweet. "You've caught our members' attention and received a public warning, so do you feel a sense of accomplishment like winning a medal?" read the second message.

멤버들 주의끌어내서 공개적으로 경고메시지 받으면 훈장이라도 단것마냥 성취감 느끼시는건가요 ?

Fellow Block B member Park Kyung also wrote on Twitter. "How you found our dorm, I don't know, but I was shocked to see that people put graffiti on our door two weeks ago," he said. "But now there is a person who rings the bell before running away while we rest. Bees, [short for BBC, Block B's fanclub] Please stop."

— kyung park (@KYUNGPARK1992) October 21, 2014

Jaehyo posted a picture of the writing on the wall, with a message saying that he's thankful that fans love Block B, but that that the fans' actions are frightening.

There are multiple cases of intense fans, often referred to as sasaeng or stalker fans in Korea, invading the private lives of Korean celebrities. Just as there are numerous cases of idols publicly asking fans to let them live in relative peace. This past summer saw fans flocking to Lee Hyori's newlywed home like a tourist attraction, while Super Junior and EXO members threatened to permanently shut down social media accounts following hacking attempts.
