West Coasters Can Watch 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents' At CGV Cinemas LA

On October 23, 2014 CJ E&M announced that the highest grossing Korean-language film in North America, "The Admiral: Roaring Currents," will return to CGV Cinemas in Los Angeles.

Many moviegoers have requested for the return of the film, "The Admiral," and now it will return for a two-week limited engagement beginning November 6, 2014. This is a great opportunity for those who have yet to watch the film on the big screen.

"The Admiral: Roaring Currents" became the highest grossing Korean-language film in North America, surpassing $2.5 million in earnings at the U.S. box office.

Since the premiere of the film on July 30, 2014, "The Admiral" became the most watched film of all time in South Korea, with over 17 million admissions and breaking multiple box office records.

The film is now also set for its premiere in China where it is expected to break new records as it opens on more than 3,000 screens.

"The Admiral" stars Choi Min Sik and Ryu Seung Ryeong and revolves around the Battle of Myeongnyang and Yi Sun Sin's important naval battle victory. 

Theater manager Jason Kim also spoke to the public that, "because the film already played 10 weeks at our theater, we were very surprised at the high demand."

He also added, "It's important to serve our aduience with the most current movie selection, but the response was so strong that we decided to bring 'The Admiral' back."
