OK Go Releases Another Boundary-Pushing Music Video With 'I Won't Let You Down'

OK Go is at it again.

The band released a new music video for their song "I Won't Let You Down" and, as per usual, the project is a creative, fun, and seriously mind-blowingly.

"I Won't Let You Down" is the second single from the band's upcoming album "Hungry Ghosts."

In the video, the band members dance on motorized Honda unicycles while performing with umbrellas. The four musicians are joined by hundreds of extras which makes the fact that the video was captured in one take on a custom "multi-copter camera" all the more impressive.

According to The Telegraph, the 5 minute, 20 second video was filmed at Japan's Chiba Prefecture.

When the band's bassist, Tim Nordwind, was asked about the video for "I Won't Let You Down" in a recent interview with Music Times, he shared a few tidbits about the project, but made sure to keep the main details of the music video a mystery.

I can't actually tell you too much. We shot it in Japan. It has a very kind of Japanese flair to it. We're using a fairly interesting piece of technology, and at times it feels very much like the choreographer Busby Berkeley. He did a lot in the 30s and 40s for musical theater that was on film. It's very fun. It has a lot of heart.

OK Go have truly learned to out do themselves over the years. The band won a Grammy for the music video of "Here It Goes Again," which featured the bandmates gliding through a choreographed dance routine on treadmills.

Earlier this year, the music video for "The Writing's On the Wall," the first single off of "Hungry Ghosts" reached over one million views in one day.

"I Won't Let You Down" will officially be released as the band's next single on December 8. The full-length album, which will be their first since 2010's "Of the Blue Color of the Sky," will hit shelves on February 16 next year.

OK Go's lead singer Damian Kulash, along with Kazuaki Seki, directed the video, while Morihiro Harano provided creative direction.
