‘Dancing With The Stars’ Contestant Sadie Robertson Reveals She ‘Had A Lot Of Insecurities’ After Being Bullied By Models At New York Fashion Week In New Book ‘Live Original’!

Sadie Robertson is an officially an author!

The "Duck Dynasty" star and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant just released her first book, "Live Original." In the memoir, Robertson reveals that she was bullied by models at New York Fashion week and dishes on how she learned to stay confident in herself.

In "Live Original," Robertson recalls meeting some not so friendly girls when presenting her line of conservative prom-dresses at New York Fashion Week in 2013.

"Many of them did not say a single word back to me," says 17-year-old Sadie (via RadarOnline.com), remembering her attempts to introduce herself to others at the event.

"They just looked at me like they had icicles in their eyes," she added. "Without using words, they sent me a strong message: 'What are you doing here?'"

The "Dancing with the Stars" contestant claims she felt "uncomfortable" because she was from Louisiana, while many of the models "were from places like Russia and other European countries." She adds, "To me, they all looked about six feet tall and were super skinny."

Robertson reveals that she realized she "had a lot of insecurities."

"They were pretty obsessed with their weight, so instead of having snacks or treats, they smoked cigarettes and drank coffee...They were quiet, and they seemed either sad or kind of angry," explains the teen.

The "Duck Dynasty" star addresses the issue confidence in the book, expressing her belief that true self-belief comes from within.

"They cared way too much about their outward appearance- and confidence is an inside thing," she writes. "If people try to become confident by trying to make themselves look better or feel better, they will never get there."

"I could have totally lost it over the comments people made and the icy looks they gave me," the teen concludes. "But I didn't. God had been training me all my life...to be strong and confident."

The world of fashion certainly has a reputation of being elitist, whether or not that stereotype is true.

Earlier this year, an alleged insider told In Touch that fashion newbie Kendall Jenner experienced bullying during New York Fashion Week.

"They started acting so b*tchy- some even put out their cigarettes in Kendall's drink!" said the source.

In spite of the past run in with bullying, Sadie Robertson is not letting anything stand of her happiness. While flaunting her "Duck Dynasty" pride on "Dancing with the Stars," the teen has found time to write and release her book, which she announced on Instagram.

"& today is the day. My book Live Original is out. I am thankful to God for blessing me with the opportunity to write this book," Robertson wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. "I pray that many lives are touched through this book. I pray people realize that they are a beautiful child of God, and become confident in that. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. (Hebrews 10 : 35 NIV)♥"
