What happened on the last episode of "The Simpsons?"

On "Treehouse of Horror XXV," the episode which aired on October 19, "In a Halloween-theme episode Bart reads Aramaic symbols from the bottom of his desk and he and Lisa are transported to an alternate world filled with demons. Also, Moe organizes a "Clockwork Orange"-ish gang in which member Dum (Homer) falls for a young lady (Marge) who wants him quit. In a homage to "The Others," the Simpsons reconnect with their earlier incarnations from the Tracey Ullman era."

What should we look forward to for tonight's episode (S26E05)? Warning: spoilers ahead!

USA Today chooses tonight's episode of the Simpson as its top pick for Sunday night TV, explaining "Even Mr. Burns is not beyond the call of the romantic wild as Lisa learns, to her horror, when her latest plan goes awry. To stop Burns's latest money-making scheme, fracking around Springfield, Lisa turns tobig-deal liberal assemblywoman Maxine Lombard - and is then shocked when sparks fly between Lombard and Burns. And who's providing Maxine's voice? Jane Fonda, who knows a little something about both liberal causes and unexpected pairings."

According to Breitbart, "Jane Fonda will play a liberal congresswoman who has a love affair with Mr. Burns in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons titled "Opposites A-Frack." According to ET, Mr. Burns has to go to court for fracking and ends up falling in love with the woman who prosecutes him during the hearing. Apparently, he becomes attracted to her after he realizes they have nothing in common. Although Fonda has reportedly never done voiceover work before, executive producer of the animated series Matt Selman seems pleased with her work. "I think she was a little nervous. I think I was more nervous. She was very encouraging of direction and line readings and all the things that famous Oscar-winning actors don't usually ask for. She understood the character and just read every scene perfectly." Among the other celebrity voices to hear in the 26th season of The Simpsons will be Sarah Silverman, Nick Offerman, and Willem Dafoe."

Finally, fans won't want to miss "The Others" parody. What some viewers don't know is that "The Simpsons" first appeared as a series of animated shorts in 1987 before getting its own show in 1989. The animated short was featured in "The Tracey Ullman Show" and displayed much different visual portrayals of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. The original drawings of the Simpsons family will reappear in the "Opposites A-Frack" episode to haunt the current Simpsons as a family that was "murdered and buried in the house." According to Entertainment Weekly, cast members Dan Castellaneta, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Julie Kavner will "summon their original voices for the characters." But this won't be the first time that the Simpsons from "The Tracey Ullman Show" have crossed over. Most recently, they appeared in Guillermo del Toro's couch gag for the 2013 "Treehouse of Horror" special."

It will certainly be interesting to see all of this play out! Check out these hilarious "Opposites A-Frack" (S26E05) sneak-peeks and preview videos featuring guest voice actress Jane Fonda:
