‘Hart Of Dixie’ Season 4 To Resume On January; Will It Be The Final Season Now That Rachel Bilson Has Welcomed Baby Briar Rose?

There's a reason for "Hart of Dixie" fans to delight because CW has confirmed that the series would resume on January 9 for its fourth season. Two days after the network's announcement, the birth of Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen's baby also took place. The couple named their first child, Briar Rose.

It can be remembered that the previous "Hart of Dixie" season had to be shortened becayse of the brunette beauty's pregnancy.

"The reason we only shot 10 episodes is really because Rachel Bilson is going to have her first little baby, and there's no 'Hart of Dixie' without the Hart," said actor Scott Porter.

The network, however, did not confirm if "Hart of Dixie" seaon 4 would be the last. Porter appears not to fancy the idea of cancellation. He encouraged fans to continue supporting Zoe Hart's show so that it would still be renewed.

"I would love to come back and be a part of Bluebell again - and there's a chance - but we really need the support of the fans to be able to come back . If people don't watch, then shows don't come back, so we just need a little help," he told Yahoo TV.

Wilson Bethel also told the website that while it might be the final season, the story would end in a positive way: "There seemed to be indications that maybe potentially this could be the last season... Storywise, it started to kind of feel in that way."

"If, in fact, this is the final season of "Hart of Dixie," the show is left in a really good place," he said.

"Hart of Dixie" season 4 will air on January 9 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
