Fans Criticize Lee Hi's Teaser Photo For Hi Suhyun's 'I'm Different' Single

As K-pop fans eagerly anticipate the debut of YG Entertainment's latest unit group, a recent teaser image is causing some controversy over its depiction of Lee Ha Yi (Lee Hi).

On November 11, Lee Hi will debut as new unit Hi Suhyun alongside Akdong Musician's Lee Suhyun. To promote their single "I'm Different" featuring iKON's Bobby, YG Entertainment released an individual promo image featuring Lee Hi that is now turning heads and raising eyebrows.

"She looks so skinny," commented yehet_my_a on allkpop. "Almost too skinny. She was beautiful on 'Mix & Match.' I hope she didn't do any crash diets."

"Wow, lots of Photoshop here," wrote summerdayseve on November 7. "Just saw her 'Mix & Match' performance. Now way will I believe this is natural. And it's so unnecessary. She's beautiful without it!"

Others, however, believe it is simply the angle the photo was taken that made Lee Hi look different from her usual frame.

"The angle this picture was taken makes Lee Hi look really different," added allkpop311830.

"I'm Different" will feature Bobby, one of the members of iKON. Reportedly, Bobby worked on the song alongside P.K., Rebecca Johnson and Masta Wu.

Another poster image for Hi Suhyun also foreshadows the unit might not be the only unit project in the works for the company's artists. At the bottom of the image depicting Suhyun, Bobby and Lee Hi is the distinction, "YG Collaboration Project 001."

The new duo will be dropping "I'm Different" on November 11, otherwise known as Pepero Day in South Korea. Pepero, a popular snack of dipped cookie sticks, is celebrated in Korea on the November 11 due to the sweet treat's resemblance to the numerical date. An earlier teaser of the trio showed them holding boxes of Pepero.
