Psy has recently been crowned the highest viewed Korean artist on YouTube, passing the record held by Girls' Generation.

Psy's "Gangnam Style" MV recently passed the 83,750,000 views, surpassing Girls' Generation's "Gee."

This record was set in a matter of only 49 days since its debut on July 15th through Psy's official channel. "Gee" has been on YouTube for 3 years and this shows just how fast "Gangnam Style" and its popularity has spread this time around.

The music video is currently recording 3 million views a day and this means that in one week, if this trend continues, he will join the 100 million view club. 

Psy is now on the Social 50 charts on billboard.com, YouTube #1, and Digital Song Chart #74, which proves his global popularity that has been growing recently.

However, hundreds of Girls' Generation fans are lamenting the loss, saying "Girls' Generation will always be a legend." "They're always #1 in my mind."
