Best Song of the Year award went to Big Bang's Taeyang for the hit "Eyes, Nose, Lips."

Taeyang provided a lengthy acceptance speech which thanked his seniors at YG Entertainment including Teddy. He also provided acknowledgement for Choice37 and others who worked on production. Taeyang also thanked his fellow members for Big Bang starting with G-Dragon for the award.

IU, Taeyang, SoYou and Junggigo, San E. and Raina were among the artists whose songs were nominated for Best Song of the Year.

Best Artist of the Year was presented by Yoon Sang to female vocalist IU. Nominees for Best Artist of the Year included g.o.d, BEAST, Akdong Musician, and Taeyang.

Best Album of the Year went to g.o.d. for their reunion album “Chapter 8.” The full group was not present as the group recently performed in the United States as part of the 15th Anniversary Reunion Tour.

The legendary group beat out other nominees including 2NE1, Akdong Musician, and Taeyang for the honor of Best Album of the Year.

Kim Tae Woo of g.o.d will follow up the American tour of the group with a sold-out one night only performance at New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall.

Prior to the final three awards, Akdong Musician received Best Folk Award for "200%"

Best OST (original soundtrack) was presented to solo vocalist LYn for "My Destiny" from the hit drama "My Love from the Stars."

A Pink were the recipients of the Best Dance Artist Female award for "Mr. Chu" which was preceded by Lee Guk Ju performing a playful montage of girl group songs.

Best Netizen Song was presented to BEAST for "Good Luck."

The most memorable stages of the second half came from Block B, Akdong Musician, and Taeyang.

Block B opened with a clown-filled stage with a rough version of “Very Good.” Block B then segued into “HER” by pretending to interrupt the next award presentation.

There was a playful Alice and Wonderland themed stage by Akdong Musician which brightened the saddened hearts of the audience members. They kicked off their set with “Give Love" followed by "200%" Akdong Musician's stage followed the tribute to Ladies' Code and definitely helped to lighten the somber mood.

Taeyang performed a solid version “Body” followed by “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”
