On the KBS2TV program "Seungseungjangu" last night, pop star IU once again displayed her eloquence and wit.

When asked why she had given up on the college entrance exam, IU responded that she doubted she would know any of the answers [for the questions] on the exam. She stated, "even if I were to be admitted to college as a special case, I don't think that I would do well seeing as how I cannot attend high school properly even now."

Asked what her parents thought about this decision, she remarked, "At first, my mother was especially disappointed. She had not had the opportunity to attend college because of costs. But I made a promise with my parents that I would take my singing career most seriously, making sure not to get distracted by anything else. When I demonstrated discipline in my singing and songwriting lessons, they were more understanding."

When praised by others to be a prodigy singer and songwriter, IU states demurely, "Oh, I wouldn't say that. I'm just not so skilled at studies and have chosen not to college."
