Former KARA Member Kang Jiyoung Releases Her First Photo Book In Japan

Former KARA member Kang Jiyoung has released her first photo book in Japan.

On November 17, Japan Sankei Sports released that Kang Jiyoung held her first photo book release event on November 16 in Tokyo. Around 1,300 fans came out to the event to support her new release.

According to the press, her photo book revealed images and stories of her transforming from a girl to a mature, grown woman.

Since August, she had been traveling to Austria and Germany to hold photo shoots for this release.

Kang Jiyoung commented, "The photo shoots for this book was so fun that it made us forget about how tiring it was."

Back in April, Kang Jiyoung completed her contract with DSP Media and decided not to renew her contract with them.

She instead went overseas to London where she studied more and worked on her acting.

This past August, she signed with a new agency to begin promoting as an actress.

She officially began acting in a Japanese drama called, "Hell Teacher Nube" and will be appearing in her first movie role that will release next March.

Kang Jiyoung first debuted as a member of the group KARA in 2008 under DSP Media. She was 14 years at the time and was the youngest of the group. The group had many hit songs and was one of the most popular girl groups in the industry. She however did not resign with the agency after her contract expired earlier this year. She left to study in London and pursue her dream of acting. She recently signed with Sweet Power to comeback as an actress.
