LG G4 Release Date, Specs: Next-Gen LG Smartphone Pegged For Mid-2015 Launch? Specs Include Company's Very Own LTE-Enabled Octa-Core NUCLUN Processor?

LG G4 release date rumors are beginning to circulate several months after the arrival of LG's current flagship smartphone.

Early reports about the LG G4 suggest that the next-gen handset will be available at some point in mid-2015. Trusted Reviews further noted that it is more likely for the LG G4 to be available during the summer season next year.

The website's post about potential LG G4 release date further reads, "Avoiding the mass hysteria of a major tradeshow will give the LG G4 announcement room to breathe. By targeting May or June, LG will avoid trading blows with a mass of rival announcements, giving the device consumers' undivided attention."

As for the specs, LG G4 is rumored to have the company's very own processor, the NUCLUN octa-core chipset. Last month, LG announced its very first mobile app processor with four 1.5GHz Cortex A15 cores aimed for high performance, as well as four 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 cores that will be used for "less intensive processing," as explained by Droid-Life.com.

Official press release for the new LG processor reads:

"NUCLUN is designed to support the next generation of 4G networks, LTE-A Cat.6, for maximum download speeds of up to 225Mbps while retaining backward compatibility with current LTE networks."

Meanwhile, there are also LG G4 release date and specs reports suggesting that the upcoming smartphone might get a Snapdragon 810 chipset.

Other rumored specs include 20.7 MP primary camera with updated optical image stabilization tech. This will be a huge leap on the camera specs from LG G3's 13-megapixel camera, if this speculation pans out.

The LG G4 is also expected to have a much thinner bezel, according to DesignNTrend. The company reportedly made a 5.3-inch screen display featuring a bezel with 0.7mm thickness.
