Actor Joo Ji Hoon is actually getting piano lessons because of his role.

In "Five Fingers," Joo Ji Hoon plays the role of Yoo Ji Ho, a genius pianist, who has a secretive and confusing family history. In the picture, you can see that Joo Ji Hoon gives off an aura of struggle and angst that a genius artist would carry.

In order to really be perfect for the part, he quickly shed weight and started receiving classical piano lessons in order to replicate the movements, the posture, and the expressions of a real pianist. In order to really portray the performance scenes, he listens to the songs that will be inserted in the scene and learns the movements required to operate the keys, the pedals and the crescendos as well.

A management company insider commented, "Most of the songs that are in the drama are very personal for Yoo Ji Ho and that's why Ji Hoon is making a lot of effort to study those songs and understand them. We hope that you'll cheer him on as the drama gets more interesting."

In the last episode, Yoo Ji Ho faces one of the biggest crises of his career and begins a rivalry with his brother In Ha. It looks like Joo Ji Hoon will continue to portray his character through his struggles.

"Five Fingers" airs every Saturday and Sunday.
