Lovelyz Releases Debut Album Despite Controversy Surrounding Member Seo Ji-soo

Woollim Entertainment's long-awaited new girl group has finally made their official debut, even with surrounding scandals continuing on.

Despite the controversy regarding their member Seo Ji-soo, new K-Pop girl group Lovelyz is brushing off the dirt and has made their official debut with the album Girls Invasion.

Lovelyz is an eight-member female group consisting of Baby Soul, Seo Ji-soo, Lee Mi Joo, Yoo Ji-ae, Kei, JIN, Ryu Su Jeong, and Jung Ye In.

Prior to their showcase debut and appearances on the various televised music programs this past week, Lovelyz's member Seo Ji-soo decided not perform with her fellow members for the initial promotions. The decision came after Ji-soo was the subject of a string of nasty accusations and rumors from various netizens.  Woollim said that Ji-soo would be sitting out the first stage of performances due to stress related to the incident.

Despite the continuing scandal, the seven other members stayed strong and made their debut last week.  During the various weekend music shows, Lovelyz received love from the audience as fan chants and screams were heard while the ladies were performing.

On November 17th, Lovelyz released their first album Girls Invasion. Their album contains a total of nine songs - "Introducing the Candy," "Candy Jelly Love," "Good Night Like Yesterday," "Chapter 1," "Secret Journey," "No Better Than Strangers," "She's a Flirt," "Delight," and "Not Only You."

The Lovelyz members plan to continue promoting their single "Candy Jelly Love" on the music shows, but as for Seo Ji-soo, Woollim Entertainment has not yet revealed any new news regarding her activities with the group.
