Mnet recently confirmed the cast for the upcoming drama which literally translates to Perseverance, Goo Hae Ra. Perseverance, Goo Hae Ra will be a musical drama that will star musical prodigy, Henry of Super Junior-M and B1A4’s Jinyoung.

Ulala Session member Park Kwang Sun and female vocalist Yu Seong Eun are also included in the cast.

The cast of the upcoming Mnet drama were specifically selected for their singing and dancing ability. While it is a musical drama, Mnet has previously stated that the program will not be a continuation of the 2013 show Monstar.

Perseverance, Goo Hae Ra will focus on the title character, Goo Hae Ra, who is an aspiring musician who is seeking stardom. Hae Ra wishes to release the music of her deceased father but faces numerous obstacles. In a detailed description of the program provided by Enews, Hae Ra is joined by twin brothers in her quest for stardom, on the musical competition show Superstar K2.

B1A4’s Jinyoung will portray Kang Sae Chan, who is one of the twin brothers. Jinyoung has previously appeared in drama and film. He has also been heavily involved in the production process of B1A4’s music.

Super Junior-M’s Henry (Henry Lau) will star as a character who shares his name and possibly some personality traits.

The drama incorporates the musical program Superstar K2 with cast members Yu Seong Eun and Park Kwang Sun also coming from the music talent sector. Yu Seong Eun competed in The Voice Korea while Park Kwang Sun was a competitor on Superstar K.

Perseverance, Goo Hae Ra is scheduled to air in January 2015.
