Supermodel Janice Dickinson Claims Bill Cosby Drugged And Sexually Assaulted Her In 1982; Comes Forth As The 5th Woman To Publicly Accuse The Comedian Of Sexual Abuse [PHOTO]

In a recent and exclusive interview with "Entertainment Tonight," supermodel Janice Dickinson came forth as the fifth woman to publicly accuse comedian Bill Cosby of sexual abuse. Dickinson claims Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1982 during a trip to Lake Tahoe.

Dickinson has publicly battled substance abuse for decades, and has said that Cosby took advantage of her after she emerged from rehab by positioning himself as her mentor. According to ET Online, Cosby was scheduled to perform in Lake Tahoe at the time, and wanted to offer Dickinson a job and help her with a possible singing career. Dickinson agreed to meet him, and it was there that he took advantage of her.

According to the Washington Post, Dickinson tried to tell the full story of the assault in her 2002 memoir, "No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World's First Supermodel," but Cosby and his lawyers pressured her and her publishers to hide the details.

However, Dickinson has now gained the resolve to tell the truth. She stated, "Stuffing feelings of rape and my unresolved issues from this incident has drove me into a life of trying to hurt myself, because I didn't have counsel and I was afraid... I was afraid of the consequences. I was afraid of being labeled a whore or a slut and trying to sleep my way to the top of a career that never took place."

She continued, "I'm doing this because it's the right thing to do, and it happened to me, and this is the true story...I believe all the other women." She then proceeded to divulge the events of the rape during the interview.

Dickinson said that she and Cosby had dinner together in Lake Tahoe. She proceeded, "After dinner, in my room, he had given me wine and a pill and the next morning I woke up and I wasn't wearing my pajamas...I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man. The last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen in between my legs."

This past Sunday, Cosby's lawyer John P. Schmitt issued a statement saying, "Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment. He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at age 77, he is doing his best work. There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or any of his representatives." Cosby recently responded to an NPR interview this Saturday regarding the alleged sexual assaults with silence, and it is likely that his silence will continue.
