EXO Member D.O Discusses His Acting Career In ELLE Korea

In a recent interview with ELLE Korea EXO vocal, D.O. also know by his actor and real name Do Kyungsoo, spoke out about his recent foray in the acting field.

Earlier in 2014, Do Kyungsoo starred in his first full drama titled It’s Okay, It's Love portraying the mental image of a schizophrenic author. Do Kyungsoo starred in the drama alongside senior and renowned actors Jo In Sung, Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Kwang Soo and Sung Dong Il.

The drama received high TV ratings as well as positive reviews from critics. Not only did viewers of the mental drama feel empty when the drama ended but also D.O. himself mentions the bittersweet ending. "I was on the verge of tears when I said goodbye to writer Noh Hee Kyung during the drama's finale party," he said. "The writer and I are the two people who know Kang Woo the best in this world. I want to continue to feel new emotions and experience more of it."

Do Kyungsoo took up another acting project but this time it was for the big screen with the new movie, Cart. When asked about his recent venture onto the big screen, D.O expressed his honest feelings. “To be honest, I only paid attention to the seniors," he said. "I only filmed with Yeom Jung Ah senior so I wasn't able to see the other actors' scenes, but they all worked very hard and acted really well.”

The movie Cart is based on a true story of store workers that rallied together in order to gain more rights as contract workers. D.O plays the role of Tae Young, son of lead actress Yeom Jung Ah.

Cart made its first premiere at the Toronto international Film Festival back on September 7th. The movie was released in South Korean movie theaters on November 13th and is already garnering a lot of attention.

Let’s hope to see D.O. in more acting projects in the future!
