District of Gangnam Presents Psy with a Plaque of Appreciation and Asks him to be an Honorary Ambassador

The district of Gangnam has awarded Psy with a plaque of appreciation and has asked him to become an honorary ambassador for Gangnam. Psy's worldwide spread of his song, "Gangnam Style" has helped in bringing awareness to the city.

With an interview with OSEN, the Gangnam District Public Relations stated, "We are feeling the influence and impact of Psy's song here in Gangnam. We have awarded him a plaque as well as asked him to be an honorary ambassador."

Psy's "Gangnam Style" has reached around 150 million views on YouTube and has been featured on CNN, ABC and other TV shows. Due to this exposure, Gangnam is becoming a popular place.

Psy commented on CNN and ABC, "Gangnam is like Beverly Hills in America. The people are prim and proper during the daytime and crazy during the night time."

Psy appeared on NBC "Today Show" this morning and will return to Korea on September 25.
