Wardrobe Inspection: K-Pop's Best Dressed November 2014

November was full of a wide range of comeback but let's see how they fared in terms of style!

"Tough Cookie" by Zico

Zico made a controversial comeback with his most recent track, "Tough Cookie" featuring Don Mills. However, Zico stuck to his signature street style throughh different forms in the music video. One might even argue that his bathtub full of chocolate chip cookies is apart of his "attire".

“Like A Cat” by AOA

AOA made strong comeback in the first half of November with their sexy theme title track, “Like a Cat”. The music video two alluring looks including the red-coat look and the sleek all black style. The all black style is the most befitting for the track as the ladies are suiting up in a look that even Catwoman would acknowledge.

“I’m Different” by HI SUHYUN

YG surprised us with the collaboration subunit of HI SUHYUN this November and aside from Bobby, the MV also featured a natural school look that suits that girls more than well. While HI SUHYUN is given the school uniform style, Bobby goes for a more casual and comfortable jeans and T-shirt look. Though the clothing is relatively easy and laid back, it still fits the playfulness of the music video.

“I’m Not A Boy, Not Yet A Man” by Cross Gene

Cross Gene graced us with their comeback in early November with “I’m Not A Boy, Not Yet a Man”. The video featured an all-white look for the sharp dance scenes while the boys donned chic sweater and blazer pieces for a classy contrast.

“MAMA” by Nicole

After returning from her hiatus, former KARA member, Nicole, made her solo debut with the addictive track, “MAMA.” Nicole’s concept featured a series of black and white theme outfits with subtle hints of color in different parts of the MV. Overall, the tone was kept very neutral.

“Erase” by Hyorin and JooYoung

Similar to Nicole’s “MAMA” music video, the color scheme for “Erase” was kept very neutral the difference being the formal yet sexy attire during Hyorin and JooYoung’s dance scenes. The color scheme fits well with the melodramatic tint to the song, “Erase”.

“From My Heart” by 5urprise

Actor-idol group, 5urprise, made their return in November with “From My Heart”. The MV showcased a two very different themes including, chic circus performers and fashionable country boys. Which do you prefer?

“Real Talk” by Boys Republic

The boys of Boys Republic battled themselves in an epic dance the their comeback track, “Real Talk”. While one side battled in the classic suit and tie, the others took on a modern spin of 18th Century get-up. Talk about a blast form the past!

“Thinking of You” by LOCO

For weeks, the members of AOMG teased us with LOCO’s upcoming comeback all the way up until the release of the “Thinking About You” music video featuring Jay Park. The unique part of the music video is the unbelievable contrast for not only the black-and-white scenes but also more for LOCO’s fire blue jacket against the blaring red background. Though the video does even out for various white-against-white shots to ease the eyes.

"Good Night Like Yesterday" by Lovelyz

Woolim’s newest girl group, despite the controversy surrounding member Ji Soo, made a successful debut with “Good Night Like Yesterday”. The style of their clothing is reminiscent of A-Pink is some ways with a mix of Lee Hi’s “Rose”. Overall, it combines soft and mellow with intense and sharp.

“Piano Man” by MAMAMOO

One of the more unique girl groups with their jazzy flare, MAMAMOO, mad their comeback with “Piano Man” featuring elements of the 20th Century fashion in the music video. The style of their comeback is almost as if “Singing in the Rain” became a hybrid with “Music Man” and modern day K-Pop. Because of their unique style, MAMAMOO is November's Best Dressed!
