Luke Hemmings spilled beans on what kind of a girlfriend he is looking for. 5 Seconds of Summer lead singer certainly had confidence going into this year’s American Music Awards! He also admitted that he wouldn’t mind dating a 5SOS fan… so keep your eyes peeled!

5 Seconds of Summer lead singer recently revealed in an interview with Seventeen Magazine that there indeed are a few qualities he look for in a girl.

“[I want] a girl with good sense of humor who doesn’t take herself seriously,” Luke Hemmings said. “Australians are naturally sarcastic. Witty jokes work well with me.”

Michael Clifford, the other band member, admitted that his past attempts at getting a girlfriend didn’t quite work out.

“Once I sent a girl flowers for her birthday. I wrote a cute note to go with them and included chocolates and teddy bears. When I asked if she liked them, she said, “I have a boyfriend”. That was tough.”

However, Luke Hemmings also said in a past interview that he, including all the other ‘Amnesia’ singers, need more “confidence” to get the girls that they want. Because of Luke Hemmings’ good height and hairstyle, it’s hard to believe that he has trouble attracting girls. Maybe this was a way to quell any potential love story and dating rumors!

Luke Hemmings and the other 5 Seconds of Summer boys have been a constant source of admiration and obsession ever since One Direction members got a little too old for the tweens. Every chance that they can get, the 18-year-old Aussie lead singer and his 5SOS boys try to dispel any love story and dating rumors churned up by the gossip site and fans all over the world.

During an interview with Fitzy & Wippa, in the middle of 5 Seconds of Summer’s Australian tour, Luke Hemmings deflected yet another question about his love life with a rather strange answer. When the interviewers asked him which of the group member is most likely to hook up with a famous hottie, the 5SOS lead singer came up with a rather strange answer.

According to Unreality TV, Luke said “because we are quite young, we just creep people out. We need some confidence.”
