MBLAQ Contract Negotiations To Resume After Group's Curtain Call Concert This Weekend

As MBLAQ fans celebrate the group's recent release with their seventh EP Winter, a general feeling of uncertainty hangs overhead.

The future of the five member group is still up in the air as two members, Lee Joon and Thunder, plan to continue contract negotiations next month.

According to Korean news outlet OBS, the band has agreed to postpone further contract discussions with their agency J.Tune Camp until after their upcoming Curtain Call concert in Seoul.

The group has also reportedly decided not to promote their new album on the various broadcast networks' music shows as negotiations continue.

Last month, it was revealed that both Lee Joon and Thunder were considering not re-signing with the record label when their contracts expire.

"We are taking into consideration the members' and agency's wishes and thoughts before coming to an official conclusion," a rep from J.Tune said to Star News on October 13. "[J. Tune Camp] will work hard to make the best decision for MBLAQ."

Reps later cited Lee Joon's wish to pursue more acting opportunities and Thunder's desire to do more behind the scenes work in the music industry as a composer and producer as reasons for potentially leaving the group.

The group will be performing with all five members on November 29 and 30 at Seoul's Olympic Hall for their sold-out Curtain Call concert.

Winter was released on November 25 with the members contributing to the writing and production of the five tracks. In addition to the title track "Spring, Summer, Autumn and... Winter," the EP includes an unplugged version of MBLAQ's 2011 single "Rust."
