Jennifer Lawrence Has A Hit Song From 'The Hunger Games:' Haunting New Single 'The Hanging Tree' Takes No. 29 Spot On The UK Top 40 Charts [PHOTO]

Jennifer Lawrence is proving to be not your average actress - the release of her new haunting single "The Hanging Tree" from "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" has earned her spot 29 on the UK's top 40 chart. Is there anything she can't do?

However, singing wasn't easy for Lawrence. In fact, she doesn't even like to sing. According to TIME, "Mockingjay" director Francis Lawrence said that Lawrence was "horrified to sing," and that it was "her least favorite day" of shooting.

Lawrence continued, "I knew she didn't love the idea of singing, but I didn't realize how nervous she was until when we started the first take, and she was in tears. Not totally broken down, but she was unhappy...She would have much rather we used somebody else's voice. I think she said she wanted Lorde [who sings the movie's theme song] to do it!"

When listening to the song, it sounds as if Lawrence's singing voice is very similar to her speaking voice. However, that's kind of the point. Lawrence told People Magazine, "It shouldn't sound like a professional...It should sound like a real girl singing. So she did it. She did it all day. And she has a really cool sound to her voice. There's kind of a raspy texture to it. So it was not terrible in the slightest."

Lawrence, who has never worked in music before, told NME that the Hunger Games franchise could very well extend past the next movie. However, she is cautious about its prospects. She stated, "Everybody is thinking about [expanding the franchise], and talking about it...I just think that one has to go into that world carefully. A huge part of what makes the stories great is that it was really built upon this idea of the consequence of war, and you have an amazing character like Katniss at the centre of it. To just say, 'Oh, we're still in the Hunger Games world' is really risky."
