Saturday marks another exciting new episode of "Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works." Episode 8 entitled "Winter Days, Where the Heart Is" was simulcast for fans outside of Japan thanks to Aniplex USA, Hulu, and Crunchyroll. Synopsis:

This week's episode begins with a nightmare. Shiro Emiya dreams that his arm becomes crystallized against his will. Thankfully it was just a dream, but Shiro is also a bit fearful that maybe it's a dream that will come true. Nevertheless, it's another day of training to fight with Saber. Saber notices that Shiro mimics Archer's battle movements for reference instead of hers. Back at school Rin shows up to Shiro's class to invite him to lunch on the roof, rather, she forces him to eat lunch with her.

Rin apologizes for Archer's attack. She explains the Tohsaka family magic crest and their ability to pass on power. Rin also admits that Shinji is indeed a Master but they should focus on finding the mysterious fourth master in the school. Suddenly, the school becomes engulfed by a mysterious blood magic that renders most of the students unconscious. Rin and Shiro investigate as golems rise from the ground. Shiro summons Saber who wastes no time destroying the golems.

Saber senses a Servant on the floor. She offers to stay and fight the golems while Shiro and Rin run off to find the origin of the field. Rider heads outside to fight with Saber and it turns out to be Caster in disguise. Rin and Shiro find Shinji and demand he take down the field but he swears he didn't do it. They enter a classroom to find that the real Rider has been killed. The field dissipates. Shinji says he doesn't know what killed Rider and escapes. Saber tells them she saw Caster, rather her familiar, and they decide to tell Kirei at the church to resolve the situation.
