Psy's "Gangnam Style" Ranks Number 1 on New Zealand Chart, 'First Foreign Song in 30 Years!'

Psy's "Gangnam Style" ranks number 1 on the New Zealand chart, making it the first foreign song to be seen on the chart in 30 years.

On September 25, it was announced that "Gangnam Style" had ranked number 1 on the New Zealand chart. This is the first time in 30 years a foreign song has reached the top of this chart.

The last time a foreign song ranked number 1 on this chart was in 1982 with Nena's "99 Luftballoons."

Psy has been gaining world wide attention since the release of his music video on July 15. He has signed a contract with Justin Bieber's agency and plans to release his first U.S. single sometime this November.

Psy has been seen on MTV VMA's, SNL, Ellen Show and various music shows and news programs. "Gangnam Style" set the Guinness record for the 'most liked' video and has ranked number 1 on the iTunes chart and number 11 on the U.S. Billboard Single Main Chart 'HOT 100'.
