The hip-hop group, Epik High, won the award for Best Rap Performance at the 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards. 

On December 3, 8:00 PM, the 2014 MAMA was held at the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) Arena, where Epik high won Best Rap Performance.

Epik High's Tablo stated, "It was very difficult for Epik High to come this far. I wanted my father to see us winning, and though it is very late, I am truely grateful to be able to show him now."

The nominees for Best Rap Performance were Gary, Gaeko, Mad Clown, San E, and Epik High.

In the 2014 MAMA, the domestic sector has a total of eighteen competitive categories, and the international sector has a total of six categories.  There are also six special categories.  

The show was simulcast in Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania.  The official website was also broadcast live online.
