The marital troubles between Kendra Wilkinson and her husband Hank Baskett have played out in front of millions of reality TV viewers on. Now fans are going to get a closer look at the true story behind the drama.
In a special called "Kendra on Top: The Untold Story," Wilkinson reveals that the dark days that followed the media coverage of her husband's alleged cheating scandal led her to contemplate suicide.
"I was at a real low. I even questioned my life," Wilkinson confesses on the special (via E! News). The 29-year-old mother of two gave birth to her second child with Baskett in May, a daughter named Alijah. She credits her baby girl with preventing her suicide.
"If it wasn't for Alijah, the bond I had with her, I feel like I would have probably ended my life. I felt like I'm not even supposed to be here."
In the reality TV special, Baskett finally addresses the public about the allegations that he cheated on his wife with a transgender model. The NFL player reveals that he regrets how he handled the infidelity rumors.
"I handled this wrong," says Baskett. "I immediately froze. I was scared. I felt like I was going to lose everything-my wife and my kids-because I couldn't tell my true story to her."
The football star also confesses to his wife that he panicked after the media began to publish stories about the alleged cheating scandal because their marriage had been on the rocks prior to the gossip.
"I didn't go to you right away because I was scared of where we had been in our communication and how you had already been telling me that marriage isn't for you, there's more out there for you," says Baskett. "I didn't know how you would react to me talking to you like this."
"Kendra on Top: The Untold Story Part 1" will air on Friday at 9 p.m. on WE tv. Part 2 of the special will air on Dec. 12.
