"You know, a lot of people don't know that Nick and I are really good friends in real life," Franco said in the promo clip.

Nicki and James then show off their secret handshake: a high five, fist bump, and a wiggling of noses. As they finish, they shout "besties!"

Minaj also posted a video clip on her Instagram account of her and Franco pretending they're Peter Pan. She captioned the Instagram photo, "Chillin wit my boo."

Sounds like these two are really hitting off!

The line-up for the rest of "SNL" 2014 hosts and musical guests has been released: Martin Freeman and Charlie XCX will take the stage next week, and on December 20, Amy Adams and One Direction will close out the year.
