Many people believe that Psy was able to get this far partly because of his english skills. Many who saw his appearances on U.S. shows thought that his english was good considering he was not a native.

However, Psy confessed that talking in engilsh made his head hurt.

Psy commented, "My english skills are lacking because I only lived in the states for 4 years. I hung out with mostly Korean kids around New York so my english skills never improved. My attendance at school was not great either. However, I am given strength by reading everyone's comments telling me that my english is pretty good. I still have to translate what something is said to me in my head before I can say my answer. This gives me such a headache."

At his press conference on September 25, he stated, "My english is slowly improving though. I watched movies I had seen without subtitles to practice as well."

Psy has recently become a global sensation with his song, "Gangnam Style." He has ranked number 1 on iTunes in 30 countries and has ranked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Main Single Chart 'HOT 100'.

He has appeared on many shows such as the "Ellen Show" and "SNL" and featured on news programs such as NBC and CNN.

His music video has been the most viewed on Youtube as well with close to 300 million views.

He has also recently signed a contract with Justin Bieber's agency and plans to release his first U.S. single sometime in November.
