SECRET Vocalist Song Jieun's First Solo EP '25' Tops Tower Records Pop Chart In Japan

Girl group Secret member Song Jieun has been receiving much attention in Japan with her first solo album, Twenty Five.

Recently, her song, “Pretty Age 25” Japanese version was released in Japan and received an overwhelming response from fans.

One day before the song’s official release, she was seen at the top of Tower Record’s daily album sales chart and beat Japan’s girl grow AKB48. Currently, she is still in the Top 3 on the chart as well.

She has also gained the nickname ‘caramel voice’ for her beauty and her sweet vocal tone.

She is currently busy with various activities and events in Japan to promote her album.

Song Jieun, who also received much attention as part of the group Secret, has also become this generation’s new hallyu diva and many are curious to see how she will do as a solo artist.

Song Jieun is the main vocalist of the girl group Secret and debuted with the group in 2009 under TS Entertainment. She also began many solo activities including solo albums and drama soundtracks.

Even before her debut with the group, she released several OST’s for dramas including, “Air City” and “The Lawyers of The Great Republic Of Korea” and more.

In 2011, she released her second single, Going Crazy, which featured Bang Yong Guk. This song led her to her first number one single on the Gaon Charts.

In 2013, she released her first single album, Hope Torture, and this year, she released her first mini album, 25.

Secret, debuted in 2009 with their debut single, I Want You Back. Secret’s most recent comeback was in August with their 5th mini album, Secret Summer.

Earlier this year in May, member Hyosung also released her first solo single, Top Secret. Hyosung also was cast for the KBS 1TV drama, “My Dear Cat.”

Secret also released a single album in Japan in July which also included a DVD and a photo book.
