Sunday marks another new exciting episode of the anime series "World Trigger." Episode 9, entitled "The Organization Known As Border," was simulcast for fans outside of Japan via subscription service Crunchyroll with follow up availability on Hulu. Synopsis:

               This week's episode opens with the realization that Jin's trigger is the same as Kuga's black trigger. The story then moves to Kuga and Amatori meeting at a shrine and waiting for Osamu. Kuga assures Amatori that he's a neighbor but that he has nothing to do with the ones that attack the city. Kuga also explains that there are many different countries in the world of the Neighbors, despite all of the ones that look the same when they come over. He also tells Amatori that there's a good chance that those who are abducted by Neighbors may be treated like VIP if they have high Trion.

               Amatori reveals that both her best friend and older brother were once kidnapped by the Neighbors.  Kuga bonds with Amatori about feeling responsible for getting other people in trouble. Kuga also assures Amatori that no one will be able to take him down, no matter how many borders come after him. Except for Jin.

               Back with Jin, they inform him to take out Kuga. He refuses and tells the council that they have to follow proper chain of command to order him around. He then agrees to go capture Black Trigger, even if he kills him. The council interrogates Osamu about if he's ever asked Kuga what his purpose in their world was. He reveals that Kuga is supposedly looking for a friend of his father's, who apparently has the same name as Kuga Yuma.

               Back with Kuga, he explains that he used to travel to different countries with his father until he died. His father often mentioned a friend that worked for Border in Japan, so that's why he came to to Japan. He also shares a bunch of lessons with Amatori that his father taught him. Kuga Yugo is suggested as the name of Kuga's father by a member of the council. It is revealed that Yugo was one of the original Border. Commander Kido dispatches Jin and Osamu to figure out what Kuga's up to.

               In the hallway, Jin explains the three factions in the Border, including those who hate the Neighbors, those who focus on protecting the city, and those who believe the Neighbors could be good. The council also decides on how to seize the Black Trigger outside of what they told Osamu and Jin. Jin and Osamu meet up with Kuga and Amatori and Jin suggests that Kuga join the Border.
