Luhan Wins Asia Popular Idol Award At iQiyi Night

Former EXO member Luhan won his second award at a Chinese year end award ceremony.

Luhan, who left SM Entertainment idol group EXO in October 2014, was presented with the Asia Popular Idol Award at the iQiyi Night. iQiyi, one of China's video streaming sites, held the event in Beijing on December 6. Since leaving SM Entertainment, Luhan has become one of China's rising stars.

The idol also recently received the Most Valuable Star Award at the 2014 Baidu Moments Conference, held by China's largest portal site.

Before Luhan came onto stage, a video showing his time as part of EXO and Luhan's solo promotions played during the ceremony.

"I thank the fans who support me," Luhan said during his acceptance speech. "I wouldn't be here today without your support and effort. I will continue to work hard."

Korean band CNBLUE, Fan Bingbing, Hwang Xiaoming, Angelababy, and other popular Chinese stars also attended the same event.

Popular Chinese stars such as Hwang Xiaoming and Fan Bingbing were also present at the event.

Fellow former Exo member Kris (often known by his Chinese name Wu Yifan) was supposed to also attend the iQiyi Night, but did not appear due to a hectic schedule. The K-Pop Herald reported that there was some fan speculation that Kris and Luhan may not be comfortable with one another.

Along with winning several awards Luhan's acting in "Back To Twenty," the Chinese remake of the hit Korean film Miss Granny, has gained much attention. "Back To Twenty" will be released in China in January. Luhan has the role of the main character's grandson who is a musician.
