"I am glad that I have been chosen as an ambassador for a charity event helping and giving hope to children all around the world," said Yoona. "I will try my best so that more people can participate in the UNIHERO Campaign."

"I will try my best to become a kind hero who delivers hope to the children in the world," said SHINee member Minho. "I hope many more people become a ‘UNIHERO’ with their love and support for these children."

UNICEF Korea’s secretary general, Oh Jong Nam said also spoke at the ceremony. "Napoleon and Genghis Kahn are not the only heroes of the world," he explained. "We can all become one too by delivering hopes and protecting lives of the children needing help in the world."

"I sincerely hope that by starting with Yoona and Minho, more people will participate to become heroes protecting lives and happiness of many children in the world."
