Tragedy struck in Los Angeles on Monday morning when police discovered that murder-suicide of rapper Earl Hayes and his wife, VH1 "Hit The Floor" star Stephanie Moseley.

Now reports are indicating that Hayes' close friend Floyd Mayweather witnessed the horrific events while on FaceTime with the rapper.

Police were reportedly called to Moseley and Hayes' upscale apartment in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles around 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning. A neighbor reported hearing a woman screaming before a dozen shots were fired.

According to KTLA, when LAPD arrived at the apartment, officers found the door to a back bedroom closed. When they approached, two more gunshots went off. A SWAT team then entered the room and found two bodies inside, which were identified as Hayes, the son of legendary musician Isaac Hayes, and his wife Moseley.

On Tuesday, TMZ reported that Floyd Mayweather, the renowned boxing champion, was on FaceTime with Hayes during the time of the shooting.

The publication alleges that Hayes suspected Moseley of having an affair with R&B singer Trey Songz. A source reportedly told TMZ that Mayweather was encouraging his distraught friend to leave Moseley during the FaceTime conversation. However, when the boxer realized Hayes was going to kill the "Hit The Floor" star, he allegedly  begged him not to go through with it.

Police are reportedly questioning Mayweather as a witness to the murder-suicide."

Songz has yet to comment on the affair rumor but expressed his grief over Moseley's death on Twitter.

"R.I.P babygirl. Once an angel on earth, now watching over us from Heaven. You'll b missed but never forgotten. Love," wrote Songz.

VH1 issued a statement about the tragedy. "We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley," wrote the network. "VH1 and the entire Hit The Floor family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time."

Other stars have taken to social media to share their condolences for the deceased couple.

Ashley Tisdale, who worked with Moseley on the former CW show Hellcats, tweeted, "RIP Stephanie Moseley. I'll always remember dancing with you on #hellcats. Such a beautiful kind spirit. I'm praying for your family."

"Damn rip @haselstar my prayers go out to u and your family," wrote Tyga, who worked with Moseley on a music video.

Karrueche Tran shared a photo on Instagram of her spending time with Moseley.

"My heart is so damn heavy. This has been one hell of a week. RIP Stephanie  Such a beautiful soul!!!" wrote Tran.

Alicia Keys' husband Swizz Beatz expressed his sorrow over Hayes' passing on Instagram.
