SM Entertainment has taken action regarding SM Rookie Taeyong and reports of his negative behavior online in the past.

Taeyong is one of SM Entertainmet's SMROOKIES, the company's trainees who have been exposed in public, but have yet to make official debut in the music industry. The young idol recently confessed to having behaved inappropriately in the past in relation to his involvement with various online community scams.

Taeyong was reportedly engaged in the online trading site where he used fake promotions or advertisements,distributed products that did not work, and collected money without delivering the purchased products to his customers.

Along with being engaged on the online trading, Taeyong also is said to have sent out text messages that included profanity to the other SMROOKIES.

SM Entertainment released an apology letter on December 10th regarding Taeyong and his past behavior. "[Taeyong] is deeply reflecting on his wrong behavior that lacked good judgment during his middle school days," the statement said.."He has expressed his sincerest apologies to everyone who has been affected by his actions."  

"Not only Taeyong, but we, as the company, will work to make him grow as an artist with talent as well as good character."

Earlier this year, Taeyong was the featured rapper in Red Velvet's "Be Natural."
