Britain BBC, Psy's Win on U.K. Chart, "His Unstructured Charm is More Attractive"

Korean rapper Psy has topped the U.K. Charts with his hit song, "Gangnam Style."

On September 30, the Official Charts Company announced that "Gangnam Style" had placed number 1 on the U.K. charts.

BBC's Seoul correspondant Lucy Williamson commented, "Psy is now the first Asian artist to take over the U.S. and British music charts. The people of Korea are overwhelmed and proud of his accomplishment."

Wiliamson also commented, "His popularity in Korea is crazy. His face appears on main pages of the media several times in a week."

She continued, "Another reason for his fame is his unstructured charm of not being like every idol group out there. He is not skinny or well built, but rather himself, and that is what allows him to gain so much attention."

Psy has recently become a global sensation with his song, "Gangnam Style." He has ranked number 1 on iTunes in 30 countries and has ranked number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Main Single Chart 'HOT 100'.

He has appeared on many shows such as the "Ellen Show" and "SNL" and featured on news programs such as NBC and CNN.

His music video has been the most viewed on Youtube as well with over 300 million views.

He has also recently signed a contract with Justin Bieber's agency and plans to release his first U.S. single sometime in November.
