Friends Reunion 2015: The Friends cast seems to be doing very well. Jennifer Aniston, the one with the hair, gets to have her Cake and eat it too and Matthew Perry found a new friend. Lisa Kudrow has not one, but two shows currently airing on premium cable. HBO's The Comeback is truly a comeback for Lisa Kudrow.

Jennifer Aniston's make-up free role in Cake has garnered the former Rachel a Golden Globe nomination for best actress. Matthew Perry will be putting on Oscar Madison's old clothes. Thomas Lennon will play Felix Unger to Matthew Perry's Oscar Madison in the CBS remake of "The Odd Couple." Maybe Matthew Perry can host a Friends reunion for 2014, they seemed odd enough.

The Odd Couple is heading back to television.  CBS will close out "Two and a Half Men" in an hour-long series finale on Feb. 19 and premiere "The Odd Couple," the sitcom reboot of the classic Neil Simon work.

Perry hasn't done well on series TV since Friends ended in 2004. "Studio 60," "Mr. Sunshine" and "Go On," which I always pronounced as GOON, all sank fairly quickly.CBS has greenlit the pilot for the "The Odd Couple" remake starring Matthew Perry. CBS said they're working on a project based on Neil Simon's Broadway classic about two mismatched roommates.

For its first week on the air, Odd Couple will have lead-in from top-rated comedy The Big Bang Theory.

"Two and a Half Men" ranked as television's most watched comedy for five consecutive seasons on Mondays from 2005-06 through 2009-10.

Two and a Half Men stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer. When it ends, 262 episodes will have aired.

"The Odd Couple" will be followed by a repeat "Big Bang Theory" and "Mom" in its new timeslot.

Odd Couple will continue having Big Bang Theory for a lead-in on Feb. 26 and will be followed by a Big Bang Theory repeat every week.

"Odd Couple" also stars Wendell Pierce, Lindsay Sloane and Yvette Nicole Brown. Deadline reports that Matthew Perry will play messy sportswriter Oscar Madison.

Perry played a sports radio announcer on "Go On" so it's probably close to his heart. No word on who will be playing Felix Unger yet, but hey, who ever it is, FU.
The Odd Couple started as a play, by Neil Simon, the great Neil Simon, that began its run in 1965 starring Walter Matthew and Art Carney, who played Ed Norton on the Honeymooners. It was made into the classic 1968 movie with Matthau taking on the Oscar role again and Jack Lemmon straightening up and honking his nose, clearing his sinuses, as Felix.  The Odd Couple TV show ran from 1970 to 1975 and starred Jack Klugman as Oscar Madison and Tony Randall as Felix Unger. It was remade as "The New Odd Couple," and starred Ron Glass and Demond Wilson. In 1985, the play was reworked on Broadway and starred Sally Struthers and Rita Moreno.
