Thursday marks another new and exciting episode of "Psycho-Pass 2" or "Psycho-Pass" season two. Episode 10 entitled, "Gauging the Soul," aired on noitaminA in Japan and was simulcast for North America via Funimation. Synopsis:

The episode opens with Kamui and his group taking over the train system. Inspector Akane Tsunemori is taken off the case and Mika Shimotsuki is sent with the rest of the MWPSB to take down Kamui's group. They begin to attack the passengers and paralyze them. It appears that it's all to hack into the Sibyl System.

Akane discovers the connection between Kamui and the Togane foundation. She goes to talk to Sibyl. Akane insists to be put on a mission and Sibyl tells her to assassinate Kamui. Sibyl tells her that the body of her grandmother was found mutilated. She even shows her pictures. Akane freaks out and goes to contemplate whether she will kill him. It appears that Kogami has returned to give Akane advice, rather he's appeared in her imagination. She figures there's a different option after talking to Kogami in her mind.

Akane races toward Kamui and talks to Sibyl. She reveals that she now understands the Omnipotence paradox: Kamui intends to judge the Sibyl system as a group, forcing the Sibyl system to judge him as a group. Sibyl refuses to allow it to happen. Akane says that refusal is admitting that the system is imperfect. She advises Sibyl that the only option is to face Kamui and evolve to keep its place in society.

Shisui is on the move back in the tunnels and drains the water that is keeping the hostages captive. On the other side of the train tunnel, Inspector Shimotsuki freaks out as she sees crime scene photos of Akane's grandmother. Meanwhile, Akane arrives at the scene and runs into Togane and reveals that she knows he purposely tries to darken the hue of the inspectors he's placed with.

Kamui shows up and points his dominator at Togane. His crime coefficient warrants lethal action. The episode ends with Akane's cry to not kill Togane.
