5 Paintings By FT Island Lead Guitarist Choi Jong Hoon To Be Exhibited At Tower Records In Tokyo

FT Island lead guitarist and bandleader Choi Jong Hoon has his first painting exhibition in Japan.

Opening last Saturday at FNC Kingdom Exhibition Hall in the Japan Tower Records Tokyo Shibuya store, Choi's art show runs until Sunday.

"Although I am far from a professional, I will be displaying my work in Japan," Choi said in a statement to the Korean media. "I am trying to find my own style of art while I continue to draw many different pieces. Please keep a look out for me."

The exhibition is part of FNC Entertainment’s FNC Kingdom family concert.

Choi’s theme for his show was starlight. The guitarist is exhibiting five of his works entitled "Deep Dream," "Rock My Story," "2009 So Long, Au Revoir" and "2008 Live House Tour."

Choi,, who has said he always had an interest in art, created the visuals for FT Island's arena tour The Passion. His work for the band was featured on t-shirts as well as their first Japanese album, "So Long, Au Revoir."

FT Island will kick off their FTHX Tour next year with shows in France on Jan. 16, Sao Paolo on Jan. 19, Brazil on Jan. 21, Chile on Jan. 23 and Mexico City on Jan. 25.
