Filipino professional boxer, Manny Pacquiao has vowed to chase Floyd Mayweather into ring submission after the undefeated American offered to fight him next year.

Just two days after Floyd Mayweather called out Manny Pacquiao challenging him to a fight on May 2nd, the first and only eight-division world champion. Pacquiao has responded with rather harsh words and promised to make the much-awaited fight with Mayweather entertaining for the fans, if it does happen.

Pacquiao told Sky Sports, "He (Mayweather) has reached a dead end. He has nowhere to run but to fight me. I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight. But I doubt if he's gonna engage me in a slugfest. You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep." He added, "I know what I have to do. I will chase him wherever he goes just in case he decides to run around the ring. We will devise a good fight plan against him."

Despite the fact that many of Mayweather's recent victories have been mostly forgettable, save for an exciting bout with Marcos Maidana last May, he is still the biggest draw in the sport and even fans are willing to pay to see him fight just about anyone. Nevertheless, a show-down with Pacquiao would certainly be the highest grossing PPV (Pay-Per-View) in history. Pacquaio said he is not in it for the money.

Mayweather who has on more than one occasion called Pacquiao, "desperate" to fight him, said that he would not offer Pacquiao a 50/50 split.

"Mayweather can get the amount he wants. As early as January this year, I challenged him to a charity fight. Until now, he has not agreed to it. So, money is not the issue in our fight," Pacquiao said.

"This fight is about legacy, this is about making the fans happy and, above all, this is for the good of boxing."

Will the two boxers settle their differences over drug testing and the money split, is yet to be seen, however, it would be really cruel if Pacquiao vs. Mayweather never happens especially since both fighters have hinted the fight so often.
