It seems that the Lee Joon and Thunder, now former members of MBLAQ, left the group peaceful terms.   On December 16, MBLAQ's agency, J.Tune Camp, stated that they "sincerely hope [Lee Joon and Thunder will] launch their dream in a good environment."  Lee Joon and Thunder emphasized, "We made the announcement just to avoid confusion from the media.  There was no other intention."

On December 16, J.Tune Camp held a press release and made an official announcement: "After the company discussed the contract renewal with Lee Joon and Thunder, and at the end of a long argument between the company and the members, we respect their decision to go their separate ways. As the two members have expressed their intentions to personally dedicate themselves as an actor and a musician, we sincerely hope they launch their dream in a good environment"

Lee Joon and Thunder actually had expressed their intentions to leave for a while, so this was not a surprise from the agency's perspective.  The two members announced their official position through their law firm. There were questions about any other legal moves or motives, but Lee Joon and Thunder's legal representative drew the line there. Their lawyer, Na Hyung-jin, stated, "The announcement was made just to avoid confusion from the media." It was also added, "Aside from termination of contract, there was no other legal movement."

Although they worked through a law firm, this did not imply any conflict. The two members used the law firm just to be precise and clear.

After a lot of confusion about their next move, Lee Joon and Thunder were able to leave the group and go their separate ways without conflict.

J.Tune Camp is making plans for the remaining three members, as they will continue to work as MBLAQ. J.Tune Camp officially stated, "During the first half of next year, MBLAQ plans to announce their album has a 3-person group, and they will work individually as solos, too. "

Lee Joon will continue to focus on his acting in the MBC drama, Mr. Baek.

Thunder plans to focus on his musical studies.
