Wardrobe Inspection: K-Pop's Best Dressed Of 2014

It was another good year in fashion and comebacks in the world of K-pop! As we come to a close on the intense year of 2014, let's take a look back at some of the best fashion this past year. Enjoy!

January - "Something" by TVXQ

In honor of their 10th Anniversary, the legendary boys of TVXQ released the album 'TENSE' filled with various styles of hit music. Their title song "Something" not only featured a big band sound, but also some pretty fashion wardrobe equipped with strings for a spectacular dance performance. TVXQ easily took the cake for fashion and dance in January!

February - "Mr. Mr." by Girls Generation

Girls Generation had us waiting a full year between their 'I Got A Boy' album until they released their 'Mr. Mr.' EP this past February. The ladies went for a dramatic change from the "I Got A Boy" street style to the doctor look complete with stethoscopes, masks, and dazzling pink lab coats.

March - "Catallena" by Orange Caramel

The trio of Orange Caramel never cease to amaze us with their funky, colorful and sometimes a bit strange fashion. The music video for "Catallena" as well as their live promotions featured quite the array of costumes. While the music video was styled after sushi, their lives went so far as to dress up as hamburgers!

April - "Overdose" by EXO

It was but a short four months since 'Miracles in December' that EXO release the intense and powerful dance track, "Overdose". There were quite a few shifts in attire throughout the music video including hip-hop, suit, and even what some fans refer to as the "tablecloth shirts". The looks were accompanied by thick dark eye make-up and classy yet messily styled hair complete with gel. It was no wonder we overdosed!

May - "200%" by Akdong Musician

Just in time for the refreshing transition from Spring to Summer, Akdong Musician released the addicting track, "200%". The duo went for the classic school time look as well as a comfortable and casual vibrantly patterned attire for other shots.

June - "Eyes, Nose, Lips" by Taeyang

It hard to say that Taeyang's takes the cake for best dressed in June because he simply didn't have as many clothes on; however, with the clothes he did have on, he flaunted perfectly. In nothing but a beanie, leather pants and a gold chain, Taeyang can rock anything and nothing!

July - "H.E.R" by Block B and "Back Seat" by JYJ

There were a number of upscale comeback in July including Jay Park, Boys Republic, Sistar, f(x) and tons more but two groups took the cake for the concepts that stood out the most and veered away from the usual. These two concepts are also on two opposite sides of the spectrum from one another. JYJ went for pure unadulterated sexiness for their "Back Seat" comeback. The boys even showed some skin while Block B's music video for "H.E.R" was nothing but bright colors and excitement!

August - "MAMACITA" by Super Junior

Super Junior made a strong return in August with the massively popular R&B track, "MAMACITA". The music video was one of the few K-pop videos to feature a western theme complete with old time barber shops, banks, and saloons. Super Junior went all out in old west gear sporting mustaches, ponchos, and pinstripes!

September - "Go Crazy" by 2PM

Fans all over went crazy with the epic return of 2PM and their hilarious music video for "Go Crazy". Staying true to their forever quirky personalities, 2PM presented to us not only a playful dance but some rather odd yet completely befitting fashion. Each donned an entirely different look from a regular T-shirts and pants, to sweatshirts all the way to head-to-toes patterned suits. Definitely the 2PM style!

October - "Error" by VIXX

VIXX went full on android for the their "Error" music video. Rather than staying with the creepy style that VIXX is known for, the boys went for a slight change and opted for a more futuristic approach. Aside from their robotic side, VIXX also showcased the chic contrast of black and white for their dance cuts.

November - "Piano Man" by MAMAMOO and "Good Boy" by GD x Taeyang

There were two competitors for fashion when it came to November. YG released the track "Good Boy" from their first Hip-Hop Project unit GD x TAEYANG. The duo stuck to their usual hip-hip style but with some added neon flare. The scene featured a popular club scene with dancers all around. On the other hand; however, MAMAMOO went for the a the classic 'Singing in the Rain' style complete with big band and piano club. The generation gap in terms of style and attire is quite apparent and yet unique.

December - "Angel" by MFBTY

MFBTY made their comeback since their last track "Sweet Dream" back in Janurary of 2013. Their newest track "Angel" featured a style that was all about hair, hair, and more hair. During the duration of the video, Yoon Mi Rae had quite the number of hairstyles including short and blonde, long and straight, long and braided, and even pigtails! Tiger JK flaunted his royal mane with long flowing lock while Bizzy stuck with the traditional gelled look.

Overall, it was a pretty good year when it comes to fashion in K-pop. Let's expect to see even more dramatic, eye-popping, awestriking fashion in 2015!
